 • Debian stable ?

Posted by sufehmi at 2004-08-17 07:22 PM

Hi,

I don't have much time to maintain my servers, therefore I've been preferring Debian stable for my servers. (very easy to keep secure - apt-get update and then apt-get upgrade)

Before I bought Diginode's server package, I thought you have Debian stable among the available OS. Turned out I was wrong. (it's Debian sarge instead)

Do you have any plan to offer Debian woody anytime soon ? I'm sure that customer's servers that are secure will only benefit you as well. Please let me know.

Many thanks, Harry

We will be adding debain stable within the month. Alternatively, all our fedora/redhat systems comes preinstalled with apt-get or yum to provide the same feature set. Thanks. :)

question Re: Debian stable ?

Hi, any news on its progress ?

I'm experiencing various stability / reliability issues with OpenBSD image (mailserver, MySQL - mostly MySQL), have spent a month trying to migrate from my old server but still not satisfied with its stability.

I'm even willing now to install it from scratch - if you can mount the Debian netinstall image as a CDROM drive for my diginode, then I'll set it up myself.

Thanks,
Harry
