By utilizing technology that allows multiple Linux partitions to run with a physical server, our Cellz servers is a cost effective way of maintaining a dedicated server at a fraction of the cost. This partition acts and works like a physical server, and with full access to the server you can remove and install any programs as you see fit. Cellz VM: Virtual Machine

By using machine virtualization software, Cellz VM gives users a virtual x86 machine that they can install any operating system on. Anything a dedicated server can do, a VM server can as well. It runs most modern x86 operating systems, including FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Sun Solaris, and Microsoft Windows. We run dedicated class workloads on VM servers in house, including this machine which is running Plone, our content management system.

Advantages -

• Full machine access. Do anything on your system as you would with a physical machine. Update your kernel or compile your own. Change the bootloader, install service packs, whatever floats your boat.
• Native-speed execution. Apart from penalties due to virtualization of the hardware, the system runs at native speeds. The speed difference is negligable.
• Easy Management. Unlike dedicated servers from other providers, you have remote access to both the console and start/stop features. The remote console allows for system access even when the network interface is not up, for example during the boot and bootloader stages (which in turn allows your control your boot options, ie. choose the kernel to boot). You get better remote control and a reliable way in to recover your machine.
• Full OS Control With our new QuickInstall and QuickRefresh features, you have total control on the operating system installed. We have an increasing collection of over 10 operating systems to choose from, including Red Hat Linux, Fedora Core, Debian GNU/Linux, SuSE Linux, Slackware Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and various Windows versions. If you need a new OS, select a new one from our digisBMS web-interface. The re-installation will take place in less than 5 minutes.
• Server Ready. We provide server installations of various distributions, but with tools included (such as apt) that allows you to easily install new packages through a simple command. For most workloads, you can load up your data and start using your server immediately.
• Upgrade Easily. It only takes a few minutes for us to add extra disk space, memory or other options to your system. If you feel that you have outgrown your server, we can upgrade it to a d² Advanced Dedicated Server by moving it to a dedicated host sysem, all done in a few minutes.
• More Control. Here at Diginode, we strive to make server administration easier for you so you have more time to do other things. Webmin is a free server control panel that allows server administration tasks through a web-interface. It is available as an one-click install in the QuickConfig menu in most of our linux distributions.
• Webhosting Control. We understand that many web hosts prefer the use of specialzed web-hosting control panels. Virtualmin, our free offereing and available now, is an extension to Webmin that implements full virtual hosting management capabilities comparable to commercial offerings such as PSA and CPanel. DirectAdmin is also offered and supported by us. For those that prefer other solutions, we are in talks with several control panel providers so check back with us soon.
• Managed Services for Webhosts. If you are a Webhost using a supported control panel (Virtualmin and DirectAdmin at the moment), you can request us to manage your server for you by sending us an email.
