Frequently Asked Questions that are common to all our server plans.

  • Can I reboot the server without your help?
    Yes, all our plans are equiped with QuickReboot, allowing web-based hard reboots. This applies to both Cellz virtual server and d2 dedicated plans.

  • Can I install or re-install a new operating system without your help?
    Yes, currently all our plans come with our exclusive QuickInstall feature, allowing you to select your prefered OS image and install. The whole procedure takes less than 5 minutes. You can learn more about this feature here.
  • Can you install a webhosting control panel? What are the choices?
    Right now we offer virtualmin, which you can self-install through the digisBMS web interface, and DirectAdmin. In the future, we will be offering a larger selection, including Plesk, and CPanel. If you are hosting websites and do not have any legacy requirements, virtualmin should be more than adequate if you do not need any of the bells and whistles. If you really need a specific control panel, talk to us through email or through the livechat on the left. We can most likely accommodate your needs.
  • What does Webmin do? How do I install it?
    Webmin is a *nix ( ie. Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, etc. ) server control panel that can be accessed through the internet by a web browser. It provides a nice user friendly interface to most of the commonly used services on your server. To install webmin, follow the instructions here. There is no charge for installing or using Webmin.
  • What is Virtualmin? How do I install it?
    Virtualmin is an extension to Webmin which turns it into a fully featured webhosting control panel. Similar (and more featureful) commercial products include CPanel or Plesk SA for example. To install Virtualmin, you must install a specially prepared virtualmin OS Image. Follow the installation instructions here.
  • What is DirectAdmin? How do I install it?
    DirectAdmin is a connecial webhosting control panel that combines ease of use and excellent reliability. Many customers prefer this control panel over alternative such as Plesk, CPanel and Ensim.
  • Can I customize a plan by adding extra RAM, HD, or traffic quota?
    Yes, you can customize your plan on our new order page. It will calculate your new monthly fee and and any other charges from the customization.
  • Can I upgrade the server after it has been handed over to me?
    Yes, depending on your plan. Send us an email on what you need and we will process it as soon as possible. We are working on getting an automatic system to upgrade systems. Check the new page for any annoucements in the near future.
  • Can I run on my server?
    Yes, we do not prohibit any sort of service per se. However be aware that we do not allow Spam / Bulk Email or other types of Bulk messaging on our network. You may also want to check our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy first. We do not tolerate system or network abuse of any kind and offending accounts will be suspended or terminated immediately.
  • What is QuickReboot?
    QuickReboot is our web-based reboot/power control feature. Click here for details.
  • What is QuickConsole?
    QuickConsole is our remote serial console feature so you can access your server even if the network interface is down. Click here for details.
  • What is QuickInstall and QuickRefresh?
    QuickInstall and QuickRefresh are our web-based OS installation/re-installation features. Click here for details.
  • How many IP Addresses will I get?
    Normally, we assign one IP for each server. If you run a DNS server, we will provide you with a second IP address for free. Otherwise, additional IPs are charged according to the standard rate in the Cellz Plan Matrix.
  • What are my DNS options?
    If you want to host your own DNS, we can provide you with a second IP free. Otherwise, you can use our public DNS system - xdns1.diginode.net and xdns2.diginode.net. Both of these nameservers are connected to the DNS zone management feature in digisBMS.
  • What sort of support do you provide?
    We provide basic technical support unless you use a supported control panel (see the next entry for details). Basic Support is defined as getting the server running to the point that you can log-in and take over. We also provide network support, so if you have problems with routes and network latency, we will handle them immediately. For other support, such for applications and operating systems, we suggest using the support forums. However, if you have a problem that needs to be addressed urgently, talk to us through email, through the livechat on the left or through the phone, we will most likely go out of our way to help you.
  • Do you provide managed support if I use a control panel?
    Yes. If you use a supported control panel then you can request us to manage the server for you by sending us an email. Virtualmin,, an extension to the Webmin server control panel, is supported and can be installed by choosing a Virtualmin OS Image from our digisBMS system. DirectAdmin is also supported for customers that obtains the license through us.
